Woo! Summer is already starting and i'm getting off to a good start. So I decided I'm going to try to keep updating weekly like I was doing for a while. =] I hope you don't mind <3
So I have a few summer goals. @o@;;;
The first goal is to save up as much money as possible. My brother and I "Share" my mom's car.... When I say "Share" its more like he demands that I Put in gas money.... and then he drives it everywhere. Seriously! I can't get ANYTHING done because he just takes the car all the time. *sigh* So i'm trying to save up as much money as possible, by selling stuff, selling at cons, and working my one hostess job (and hopefully a 2nd job waitressing) to buy a car for myself. Not a new car or anything. Just one that won't break down on the high way and can make it from MD to My College 5 hours away xD;;;
The Second Goal is to lose weight! ..... XD;;;; ahahaha.
I really love college but I hate eating there... because its like eating out all the time - which is really bad for you. So while even still counting calories and hiking around campus... its loaded with nothing but sodium and fat and.... that makes poor Allychan a fat cow

SO!!! I'm trying to get to my ideal weight goal which is....
I'm not telling you <3!
But I have about 15 more pounds to go

I've lost 4 pounds since i've been home... So yay! Lets hope this keeps up, right right right? ^^
My third Goal is to sucessfully prepare and do well at Balticon and Otakon. ^_^ But more on that later.
My Last Goal is to figure out the glorious website that is Etsy! I'm just too busy during the school year to sit down and read through all of the rules / terms / services / and to set things up. So I'm trying too, trying trying trying to set up stuff so I can try to regularly sell product!! If anyone has any tips on where to start i'd be really appreciative to receive them
This also means i'll be starting to take photos of what I can do with sculpey / bracelets / other crafts. I look foward to it, I hope you guys get a kick out of the stuff I do @o@

Counting down to....
~*0*~*0*~*0*~*0*~*0*~
This summer i'm attending two conventions!!! Balticon (which is on memorial day weekend!!!) and Otakon!
Balticon is right around the corner, and since I live really close to the convention center where its held my dad and I usually go every year. In the past years i've tried selling framed prints in the art show. But honestly.... I'm a design student. Not an illustrator. So! My dad decided that this year maybe we'll try our luck in Balticon's rendition of the "Artist Alley". (which is like a hallway with... 5-6 tables.) So I will be there this year selling sculpey earrings, bracelets (only three, get em while they're hot! haha), and doing 5.5" x 4" Anime caricature headshots on cardstock with copics.... So if you're going.. (Doubt it) come by and visit me!! ^^
With that in mind, I'm also prepping for Otakon. (As stated before) my friend,

, and I plan too (Godwilling) buy a table for Otakon and to sell stuff. It'll be like what i'm selling at Balticon, but with a few more products (Glass pendants, Lolita Bonnets?, Other stuff) So if we get in (wish us luck! Its rediculously hard to get in) I will be sure to post where our table assignment is.
So this is what I have to do before both cons:
----------------------------------------------
Make Earrings / Bracelets
Finish Outfits **Will talk about that in a sec
Get together with Wawa-Chan and start making our necklaces and what not
Start looking in to printing out banners or hardware for the booth at Otakon.
It doesn't sound like a lot... but it will be. I'm sure I will be uploading tons of photos for everyone to see. <3

Fashion Lando!!

So even though i'm out of school it still doesn't mean i've stopped designing. Nope! I'm freeee to design and make whatever I want! SOOOOO this means since my creativity isn't being limited I'm going to make as many cute outfits / dresses / etc that I want too to wear at conventions and for next year.
And of course when I can take good photos i'll upload them to the gallery. But heres a sneak peak, yo!
Lolita Dress:
-------------

This dress is going to take a really long time. But i'm planning to do it correctly. Buying good, strong fabric (not cheap fabric as i've done before), and I spent about an hour figuring out the pattern. If it goes well, maybe i'll scan in my notes on how i did it. It's hard to find patterns in the US anywhere close to lolita clothes. And since i'm kind of.... y'know a fattie? All of the Gosu-Rori patterns I find are too small.
I plan to look for fabric tomorrow, and hopefully start on making it soon!
Denim High Waist Skirt Overalls:
--------------------------------
Ok so, I have to fess up. I had a huge inspiration for this high waisted piece. I love Tsuji Nozomi's fashion style. And I saw this really cute overall skirt in her photo blog. So I was like.... !!!! I want it! And I Designed something inspired by it.
I finished it already though. But I couldn't get my "Photographer" to take any photos since he was asleep.... (My "photographer" is my 12 year old little brother.... hahaha) So this is a short video of me in my new skirt:
[link]Its made out of Denim ( I got the denim for SUCH a good price, holy COW!!! )... Sorry about the messy room <3
I think my sewing skills keep on improving. I figured out how to make this too without a pattern. ^^

And thats all folks! Photos, art, and crafts coming soon. Thanks to everyone for their continued support and comments ^_^

I might put up a tutorial on how I make clothes to help other people out. I'm not a pro in any means, but everyone has to start somewhere
Yeahh. I've been to Katsucon before but never to Otakon. I'm gonna try to go this year whether I cosplay or not.
0___o that would be amazing. You should make the tutorial if you get the time!
