I love this gown, as it presented many technical challenges that ended up playing in to the final design. (It was originally strapless...)

Gosh, how do you do that!? When I start with a dessign I never know how to start and how I make my thoughts in my design. I'm so freaking jealous haha! Very beautifull

Usually when I design I break down the design in to a 'flat'. I try to think of how the dress/piece would look laid out flat. That way I can look at my drawing and figure out where the pattern pieces are... I then go to the mannequin and lay down tape to slice up the pattern pieces...

Then from there I can make my pattern and sew it up. :)

Very interesting design. It's a very beautiful dress. There's a nice asymmetrical balance in this piece. And I see two and a half hearts. XP

:noes: I want one! This is beautiful. To me, this is my favorite of your 2012 line. The colors works well with each other, the bunching of one side is a nice touch, and the straps are nicely integrated with the dress. Great job Ally! :la:
